[RDD] Newbie Questions

I,m trying to get Rivendell running on my linux box to see how it would 
be as a replacement to our aging AXS system. I plan to use generic sound 
cards and was wondering about switching and triggers. We already have 
several Broadcast Tools 8.2 switchers. Are these usable with Rivendell?
I've got SuSE 9.1 personal installed but having great difficulty finding 
all the required files.Missing libraries for jack and qt3-mysql. Does 
have anybody have a link to all the required components or rpms?
